From Mary Berry to People: 2020 to 2025
From a first single in 2020 to an EP and a mixtape in 2025, here's the short version of how I got from Newport Pagnell to here, one year at a time.
2020: where it started
My first single, "Mary Berry", was about small-town British life. Then "Who's That What's That" came out on 21 May 2020. It got to No. 26 on the UK Singles Chart and went Gold.
2021: Reading and Leeds
In 2021 I played the 1Xtra Dance stage at Reading and Leeds, and put out more singles.
2022: a lot of singles
2022 was a busy one:
- "I Had a Fist Fight with an Emo Outside Subway"
- "Canada Goose"
- "Love Island Freestyle"
- "Rips in Jeans", which ended up on the FIFA 23 soundtrack
2024: the album
My debut album, Dog Eat Dog Food World, came out on 24 May 2024, after the singles "Trespass Coat", "It's Not Litter If You Bin It" and "Boarded the Plane". That's where the dog designs in the shop get their name.
2025: People and Cheerleader
The EP People came out on 5 June 2025, with the singles "Mongoose", "Beginners luck" and "Spawn Trap" in the same year. Then the mixtape Cheerleader came out on 3 October 2025.
On the road
Along the way I've toured with K.O and V9.
Where does the merch fit in?
The designs come from the same world as the songs: the dogs, the bucket-hat face and the Dog Eat Dog Food World artwork. Each one comes on tees, long sleeves, crewnecks and hoodies, in black and white, with kids' and youth sizes too.
